Mark Stratton, LUTCF®, CFP®, ChSNC®

Financial Planner

Mark Stratton has been a financial planner since 2006. Mark’s goal at TSG Financial Strategies is to make clients feel like family and make today’s dreams tomorrow’s reality. One of his favorite parts of his career is helping clients accomplish their goals and watching them succeed and thrive in business and in family life. Mark assists clients preserve and maintain their lifestyle no matter the circumstance. Watching clients leave a legacy that will positively impact the lives of future generations brings him pride and joy.

Some of the services Mark most enjoys providing to his clients include charitable planning, tax strategies, retirement planning, special needs planning, succession planning, executive benefits, Key Person Insurance and estate planning services.

Mark graduated with his BS in Financial Planning from Texas Tech in 2005 where he enjoyed playing collegiate baseball. Since joining the industry. He has achieved the designations of Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF®), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), and Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC ®).

Mark and his wife Austin have four children: Adaline, Maddox, Brylee and Teagan. When he isn’t in the office, Mark enjoys coaching baseball, hunting, fishing, golf and traveling to South America to work in a ministry his father created.

Steven Stratton, CLU®, ChFC®

Founder

Steven Stratton, CLU, ChFC, started The Stratton Group in 1987 after several years of being a pilot, owning a business, and working in a financial firm in the 80's. He graduated from Texas Tech with a BBA in Finance, Banking, and Small Business Management Degree in 1975.  In 2014, he received the Life and Qualifying Member-Million Dollar Round Table^, Court of the Table award which is recognition of the top 5% of financial professionals worldwide.  He was also on the Presidents Council at New York Life.   Ultimately the dedication to his clients has helped make TSG Financial Strategies what it is today.  He instilled a knowledge of his practice to his children who have all worked with him to grow the business.  He was married to Lanette for 40 years, and they had Mark, Holly, Mike, and Joy. 

Steve cared for people.  He had an engaging personality and easily made friends with whoever was around.  Many of his clients became good friends and would say that he was available to help with any situation that might arise.  He taught many Bible studies and started a ministry in South America where his love for people can continue to be seen. 

Steven Stratton passed away in 2017, but the legacy of his life lives on.

Logan Slead

Associate Financial Advisor

Logan, a graduate of Kansas State University, began his career as an Associate Financial Advisor in early 2024. Currently training to advance to a Financial Advisor role, he assists clients daily with financial planning and investment strategies. In his spare time, Logan enjoys soccer, running, and exploring Dallas. His commitment to client success and passion for financial planning drive his professional journey.

Mackenzie Myers

Administrative Associate

Mackenzie launched her career with TSG in May 2024 after graduating from Southern Methodist University (SMU). She excels in administrative roles with a focus on operational efficiency. Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys playing sports, going on walks, and attending Dallas sporting events to support local teams. Her dedication to detail and proactive approach ensures smooth operations in every task she undertakes.
